The Screen Calipers were created for web designers and other
professionals to quickly
measure on-screen distances.
Frustrated with your Screen Ruler? Then try Screen Calipers.
Drag Screen Calipers easily around the screen, measure distance
inside and outside an object, nudge and flip
it around by using the keyboard keys.
The readout gives the absolute distance in pixels.
As well as being able to change Screen Calipers' color scheme,
you can also alter the look completely by selecting different skins.
Screen Calipers are totally cost free unless you'd
like to have some additional advanced features that are only available
to registered users. The price for the full version of
Screen Calipers is a modest $15.00 US.
The Screen Calipers are a unique on-screen measurement tool,
similar to a screen ruler. They resemble real life calipers in both form
and function.
The Screen Calipers have a unique advantage over other on screen
rulers due to their unique shape. Pixel-perfect accuracy is
ensured every time simply by aligning the Screen Caliper's
pointers around an object.
The Calipers can be used with any program as they float over
other applications allowing quick and easy measurements.
To Use the Calipers drag them over the portion of a window you want to
measure with the mouse. To extend the calipers drag the right hand side
out using the mouse. The number in the text box will show the space
being measured.
The Calipers have several buttons which may appear differently on
different skins. The standard controls are as follows:

right of the screen, you should see the Calipers icon next to your
clock. This extremely useful tool can be downloaded from: http://www.iconico.com/caliper/
